Adult Studies with Pastor Kay

Rev. Kay Barre will conduct two adult studies for members of our cooperative parish

Christianity 101: Four weeks of Faith Basics

How much do you know about what it means to be a Christian?
Can you tell the difference between a book of the Old Testament and the New Testament?
When a friend asks, "So, what is a Methodist, anyway?" What do you answer?

This short four-session class is a wonderful introduction, or a needed refresher course, in the basics of the Christian faith. Sessions include Bible Basics, Great Moments in Christian History, Who was Wesley anyway? and finish up with an overview of Methodism today.

Classes are offered Sunday mornings at 11:30 am in the fellowship Hall at St. Paul's UMC, Tarzana, beginning September 14.

Prayer and Personality

Each one of us has a relationship with God as unique as our own personality. For some of us, prayer can be a challenge. Others find it easy to talk to God. Some just want to get going! This five-week class will focus on identifying our own personality types using the Myers-Briggs model, and experiencing a different method of prayer tailored to each personality archetype. Come join Pastor Kay on this voyage of self-discovery!

Classes to be held at First Church, Canoga Park. Time to be announced.
