Welcome to our Stewardship Page!
We are hopeful that this page will give you a better understanding of the stewardship emphasis at First United Methodist Church of Canoga Park.
A general description of Stewardship is the wise management and use of resources. In a Christian context we deem God the source of all we have, seek to hold it in trust for God and desire to be "good stewards of the manifold grace of God." (1 Peter 4:10a). How do we do that? By the giving of our time, talent, and financial resources as part of our own spiritual journey and relationship with God. It is not all about money! Giving of our personal time and talents is of equal importance to financial giving in our spiritual growth and Christian Stewardship.

United Methodist Connectional Giving
Your contributions to your local church not only benefit your local congregation, but also have regional, national and international impact through our connectional giving system. Most of the money you give is used to support the ministries of your local church. A small portion funds regional ministries.
Apart from our annual stewardship program that funds the basic operating budget of our church we have a number of other ways to strengthen our ministries, programs, and facilities. Please see “Designated Funds & Giving Opportunities." If you would like more information or an appointment with the pastor to discuss ways of giving or making a bequest, please contact the church office.
