United Methodist Women

UMW Honors Bob Hromadka on Father's Day, 2008 Click here for details

Purpose

The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministeries of the church.

Organization

We invite all women connected to the church to join us. There are five active circles in our UMW. You may join any one of the circles for small group interaction, or you may just be a member-at-large of the organization and attend the general meetings and other activities.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

God has blessed us with many loving willing hands to knit God's love into each strand of yarn that forms our shawls. Everyone is invited to join us. We need knitters and contributors to help pay for the yarn our knitters use.

There is no charge for the shawls. They are gifts of love from our church to anyone who needs a hug from God. If you would like to put a loved one or friend on our list, or help with yarn, please contact Barbara Dimmick through the church office.
