Pastor Elaine Shin-Paull
First United Methodist Church of Canoga Park is excited to welcome Pastor Elaine Shin-Paull to our congregation. Pastor Elaine’s first Sunday worship service will be July 10, 2022.
Educated at Fuller Theological Seminary, Pastor Elaine is ordained in the California Pacific Annual Conference. She has served Southland congregations at La Canada United Methodist Church and Santa Clarita United Methodist Church.
Pastor Elaine’s family includes husband Gideon and two children, college student daughter Selina and middle-school-aged son Aaron. Rounding out the family is Babycho, their four-legged furry friend whom Pastor Elaine describes as “very clingy, but sweet!”
In her free time, Pastor Elaine enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, and travel. She also confesses a passion for Belgian waffles with strawberries. Take a look at her website, too: elainepaull.com

George Grengs
Chairman, Administrative Committee
George Grengs is a long time San Fernando Valley resident who has attended Woodlake Elementary, Hale Middle School, and Taft High. After high school, he spent two years at Pierce College and transferred to UCLA where he graduated with a B.S. in Economics. He has worked for over 25 years at Valterra Products Inc., a supplier to the RV, Pool & Spa, and Plumbing Industries.
George joined the Church in the late 1990s, and the church family is now an important part of his life. He is currently the chair of the Administrative Committee, co-chair of the Stewardship committee and is active in many other areas of the church.
George and his wife Karen have three children and two grandsons who are the joy of their life! In addition to family & church, they enjoy gardening, travel, and participating in community activities.

I love serving the Lord and hope to learn all I can while being of service. I am married to Charles Hart, who has been a great supporter of me in our marriage. We have three wonderful children- James, Jared, and Jessica Hart. In my leisure time, I love to walk, hike, read, gardening, and go to museums and movies.
Paul Cady
Director/Accompanist
Paul Cady has a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education. He has been a church pianist or choir director for over twenty-five years. Paul says, “I like to try to bring a lot of emotion to the church service with my music. I want the congregation to feel moved, uplifted and truly touched by what they hear.”
Bernie Godwin
Audio/Video Operator
Bernie is a sound and recording engineer who joined us to serve and honor God with his gift and talents. He is happily married with a son, Bernie junior. He is a devoted son to his mother, a loving husband, and a fun dad to Bernie Junior.
Kaley Mosquera
Childcare
Kaley is our Sunday school primary caregiver for our children. She is a college student at Los Angeles Pierce College studying Kinesiology to pursue a career as a Physical Education Teacher as well as having a job as a Personal Trainer. She enjoys working with kids because it brings a smile on her face to see them learning as well as having fun!
